Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on networks, applications, and systems.
- Monitor security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to threats in real-time.
- Develop and implement robust security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure regulatory compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, NIST).
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to design and maintain secure network architecture, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Perform regular security audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and mitigate them proactively.
- Provide security training and awareness programs for staff members to reduce human error.
- Investigate and analyze security breaches to determine root causes and recommend remediation strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information security.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common network protocols.
- Experience with security tools (Wireshark, Nessus, Burp Suite) is required.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex security concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
