Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced threat detection systems using Splunk and AlienVault
- Lead incident response coordination during security breaches and cyber attacks
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on enterprise networks
- Develop security automation scripts using Python and PowerShell
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enforce security best practices
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
- Maintain compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 standards
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SOC operations
- CISSP, CISM, or GIAC certification (required)
- Expertise in threat hunting, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security solutions
- Proficiency in network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
- Strong analytical skills for complex threat investigation
- Ability to work under pressure during critical incidents
- Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain immediately
