Responsibilities
- Lead threat detection, investigation, and response for 24/7 security operations center
- Develop and implement advanced security monitoring strategies using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on cloud/on-prem systems
- Collaborate with IT teams to design and deploy security controls (firewalls, EDR, NAC)
- Prepare executive-level security incident reports and remediation plans
- Mentor junior analysts and drive security awareness initiatives
- Ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and industry regulations
Qualifications
- 5+ years of cybersecurity experience with 3+ years in threat detection/response
- CISSP, CEH, or GIAC certification required (CISM preferred)
- Expertise in SIEM implementation and threat hunting methodologies
- Hands-on experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network security tools
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Proven ability to lead incident response during security breaches
- Excellent communication skills for technical/non-technical stakeholders
