Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust security controls to protect critical infrastructure
- Lead incident response efforts for security breaches and cyber attacks
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across systems
- Develop and maintain security documentation (policies, procedures, playbooks)
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM tools and analyze threat intelligence
- Mentor junior security staff and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations
- Industry certifications (CISSP, CEH, Security+ or equivalent)
- Expertise in network security, threat detection, and incident response
- Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks and risk management
- Experience with security tools: SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners
- Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances
