Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Response: Monitor security systems and SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity incidents in real-time.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in network infrastructure and applications.
- Incident Management: Lead and coordinate the incident response process, including containment, eradication, and recovery, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP compliance requirements through documentation and policy enforcement.
- Security Architecture: Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement secure network architectures and access control policies.
- Security Awareness: Develop and deliver security training programs to educate staff on emerging threats and best practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent military experience).
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or IT auditing.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM tools, firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto), and endpoint protection solutions.
- Clearance: Active Secret or Top Secret clearance is highly preferred.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills.
