Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and mitigate potential threats
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents, documenting findings and recommending preventive measures
- Develop and maintain security automation scripts for threat detection and response workflows
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure and applications
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders and audit committees
- Stay current with emerging cyber threats and contribute to threat intelligence initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, threat detection, or incident response
- Professional certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Proficiency in security tools: SIEM platforms, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection solutions
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and cloud security architectures
- Experience with threat hunting methodologies and MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills for presenting complex security concepts to non-technical audiences
