Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Azure Sentinel) to detect and respond to potential cyber threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate system weaknesses before exploitation.
- Manage and configure enterprise-grade network security devices, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and proxy servers.
- Lead and coordinate incident response efforts, including digital forensics, root cause analysis, and post-incident reporting.
- Ensure strict compliance with internal security policies and external regulatory frameworks such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and NIST.
- Develop and maintain security documentation, playbooks, and runbooks to standardize operational procedures.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security patches and software updates across the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a SOC environment.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, CEH, or GCIH are strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and common network protocols.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex security issues under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting findings to stakeholders.
