Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced threat detection protocols across cloud/on-premise environments
- Lead incident response for security breaches with SLA-driven remediation
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for critical systems
- Develop security automation scripts using Python, Ansible, and Terraform
- Collaborate with SOC teams to optimize SIEM tuning and alert triage
- Maintain compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST CSF, PCI-DSS)
- Mentor junior analysts through knowledge sharing sessions
Qualifications
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with 3+ in threat detection/response
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+
- Expertise in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Hands-on experience with AWS/Azure security services
- Strong scripting skills (Python/Bash) for automation
- Incident response experience with NIST SP 800-61 framework
- Ability to work independently in remote settings
- Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain
