Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events from SIEM tools to detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in network architecture.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
- Develop, maintain, and update security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation (NIST, ISO, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Manage and maintain firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Provide security awareness training to employees and conduct regular security audits.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity or information security.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, and common attack vectors.
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and security frameworks.
- Excellent incident response and crisis management skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance (if required).
