Responsibilities
- Monitor and Analyze: Continuously monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to potential threats in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and remediation of security incidents, including malware analysis, phishing incidents, and system breaches.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability scans and risk assessments to identify weaknesses in network architecture and applications.
- Compliance Auditing: Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and ISO 27001.
- Penetration Testing: Collaborate with red team operations to simulate attacks and validate security controls.
- Security Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on security best practices and phishing awareness.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed logs, incident reports, and security policies to ensure operational transparency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM tools, endpoint protection, firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems.
- Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common network protocols.
- Tools: Experience with scripting (Python/Bash) and automation tools is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
