Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) to identify potential threats.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to ensure system integrity.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including root cause analysis and incident containment.
- Manage and configure firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, and endpoint security solutions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as HIPAA, GDPR, and NIST.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Conduct regular security awareness training for staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity or network administration.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common network protocols.
