The Role:
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to cyber threats. You will work closely with our engineering teams to fortify our infrastructure and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and trends within the SIEM environment (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct thorough incident investigations and root cause analysis to prevent future breaches.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on internal systems.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation for Phoenix and Ohio offices.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security best practices and patch management strategies.
- Respond to security incidents in real-time and coordinate with external stakeholders when necessary.
- Provide security awareness training to employees to foster a culture of cyber hygiene.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Proficiency in using security tools including Firewalls, IDS/IPS, and EDR solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel to Ohio offices for quarterly training and planning sessions.
