Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts within SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to intrusions in real-time.
- Conduct comprehensive incident investigations, root cause analysis, and coordinate recovery efforts following security breaches.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify system weaknesses.
- Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures aligned with industry frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001).
- Collaborate with IT engineering and development teams to integrate security controls into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Educate staff on security best practices and conduct regular security awareness training sessions.
- Stay abreast of the latest cyber threats and emerging technologies to recommend proactive security measures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity analysis, SOC operations, or a related role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, Security+, or GCFA are highly preferred.
- Strong hands-on experience with security tools, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems.
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) for automation and log analysis.
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure during incidents.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
