Job Description
We are urgently hiring a highly skilled Cybersecurity Analyst to join our elite Night Shift Operations team in San Jose, CA. As a leader in threat intelligence and network security, we need a vigilant professional to protect our infrastructure 24/7. This role offers the flexibility of remote options for eligible candidates, allowing you to work from anywhere while maintaining a critical watch over our systems.
In this pivotal role, you will be the first line of defense against cyber threats, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive data. You will work closely with our SOC team to analyze alerts, respond to incidents, and implement proactive security measures.
Responsibilities
- 24/7 Security Monitoring: Continuously monitor security alerts, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and SIEM tools to identify potential threats in real-time.
- Incident Response: Investigate, triage, and remediate security incidents and breaches promptly to minimize impact.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability scans, risk assessments, and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Threat Intelligence: Analyze threat actors, malware trends, and cyber intelligence reports to bolster our defense strategies.
- Access Control: Manage and review user access permissions and identity management policies to enforce the principle of least privilege.
- Compliance Reporting: Generate and maintain detailed reports on security events, compliance audits, and system health for stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security.
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, Security+, or CCNA Security is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and network protocols.
- Tools: Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or ArcSight) and firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto, Check Point).
- Availability: Must be willing and able to work night shifts (e.g., 10 PM - 6 AM) and weekends.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
