The Role:
You will be responsible for the continuous monitoring of our network infrastructure, identifying vulnerabilities, and responding to security incidents in real-time. This is a critical position requiring a vigilant mindset and a proactive approach to threat detection.
Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events via SIEM tools (Splunk, Sentinel) during the Night Shift.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents and potential breaches with urgency.
- Conduct threat hunting and vulnerability assessments on internal systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including the Virginia SOC, to share intelligence.
- Generate and maintain detailed incident reports and security documentation.
- Assist in the implementation of security patches and configurations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
- Active CISSP, Security+, or GCIH certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Security Operations Center (SOC) or Incident Response.
- Proven ability to work rotating night shifts and handle high-pressure situations.
- Deep knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and endpoint security.
- Familiarity with Linux/Windows systems administration.
