Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems for anomalies, alerts, and indicators of compromise (IOCs) during night shifts.
- Perform rapid triage and incident response to contain and remediate security breaches and malware infections.
- Conduct proactive threat hunting to identify hidden vulnerabilities and potential attackers.
- Document detailed incident reports and remediation actions for knowledge management and compliance.
- Collaborate with day-shift analysts to ensure seamless handover of ongoing investigations and alerts.
- Participate in red team/blue team exercises and vulnerability assessments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Active Top Secret/Secret clearance or willingness to obtain one.
- 5+ years of experience in SOC operations, network security, or information security analysis.
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, IBM QRadar, LogRhythm).
- Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and endpoint security (EDR) solutions.
- Must be available to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM).
