Role Overview:
As a Night Shift Cybersecurity Analyst, you will be the first line of defense against cyber threats. You will monitor alerts, investigate potential breaches, and ensure the integrity of our client networks during off-peak hours.
Responsibilities
- 24/7 Monitoring: Continuously monitor security alerts and respond to incidents in real-time during night hours.
- Threat Hunting: Conduct proactive searches for potential threats and vulnerabilities within the network infrastructure.
- Incident Response: Lead the containment and eradication of malware and cyber attacks, escalating when necessary.
- Log Analysis: Analyze SIEM data to identify patterns and anomalies that indicate security breaches.
- Compliance Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of security events and generate compliance reports for internal and external audits.
- Patch Management: Oversee the deployment of security patches and software updates to mitigate known vulnerabilities.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC, or network security operations.
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH preferred.
- Shift Work: Proven ability and willingness to work rotating night shifts or the overnight shift.
- Tools: Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, Azure Sentinel, or QRadar) and EDR solutions.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
