Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel, QRadar) to detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and code reviews to identify system weaknesses.
- Manage and configure firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs to ensure robust network security.
- Develop, test, and maintain incident response plans, leading the team during active security breaches.
- Enforce security policies and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, NIST).
- Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends and emerging threats to recommend proactive measures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on threat detection and incident response.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CISM are highly desirable.
- Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex log data and forensic evidence.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively articulate technical risks to non-technical stakeholders.
