Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents and alerts in real-time using SIEM tools like Splunk and QRadar.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses and exposures.
- Implement and manage network security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Develop, maintain, and update security documentation, policies, and incident response playbooks.
- Collaborate with IT operations and software engineering teams to integrate security best practices into the SDLC.
- Perform security audits and ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and internal standards.
- Provide security awareness training to staff and assist in threat hunting activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Certification preferred: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CISM.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity analysis, network security, or a related role.
- Strong working knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
- Proficiency in using security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
