Responsibilities
- Monitor & Respond: Analyze security alerts from SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and respond to incidents in accordance with NIST guidelines.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses before they are exploited.
- Threat Intelligence: Stay abreast of the latest cyber threats and evolving attack vectors to proactively secure our network perimeter.
- Compliance: Ensure all security controls align with regulatory standards such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and SOC 2.
- Security Training: Conduct security awareness training for staff and develop incident response playbooks.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience accepted.
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with Firewalls (Cisco/Juniper), IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Tools: Experience with Python or Bash scripting for automation and log analysis is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
