Responsibilities
- Lead rapid incident response for high-profile security breaches, containing threats within SLA-driven timelines
- Conduct advanced threat hunting using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR platforms (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne)
- Perform forensic investigations of malware, ransomware, and APT campaigns
- Develop proactive security controls and playbooks to prevent recurring attacks
- Collaborate with blue/red teams to implement MITRE ATT&CK framework countermeasures
- Deliver executive-level threat briefings and remediation recommendations
- Maintain NIST 800-53 compliance documentation and audit trails
Qualifications
- 5+ years hands-on cybersecurity experience with 2+ years in incident response
- Certified CISSP, GIAC GCIH, or CompTIA Security+ CE required
- Expert-level proficiency in network security tools (FireEye, Palo Alto Networks)
- Proven track record of responding to ransomware and DDoS attacks
- Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux forensics and memory analysis
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
- Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 SOC environment
- Active U.S. government security clearance preferred
