Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events using SIEM tools to identify potential breaches and false positives.
- Lead the incident response process, including containment, eradication, and recovery from cyberattacks.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, risk analysis, and penetration testing to ensure system integrity.
- Configure and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems within our hybrid cloud environment.
- Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to integrate security into the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation (GDPR, HIPAA, NIST).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity engineering, SOC operations, or threat hunting.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of SIEM platforms (Splunk, IBM QRadar, or Microsoft Sentinel).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for security automation.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical findings to executive stakeholders.
