Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Response: Monitor security operations center (SOC) alerts, conduct forensic analysis, and lead incident response efforts for high-severity cyber threats.
- Vulnerability Management: Identify, assess, and remediate security vulnerabilities in on-premise and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001), and regulatory frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA).
- Penetration Testing: Collaborate with red team operations to simulate attacks and strengthen defensive controls.
- Security Architecture: Recommend and implement advanced security solutions, including Zero Trust architectures and next-gen firewalls.
- Training & Mentorship: Mentor junior analysts and conduct security awareness training for employees.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ (Active certification required for immediate consideration).
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, preferably within a fast-paced tech environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, LogRhythm) and EDR solutions (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne).
- Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
