Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to identify and mitigate sophisticated cyber threats
- Lead incident response coordination, including containment, eradication, and recovery of security breaches
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across hybrid cloud environments
- Develop and maintain comprehensive security documentation, including playbooks and risk assessments
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement zero-trust security architectures
- Provide expert guidance on compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR)
- Present executive-level security dashboards and threat intelligence reports
Qualifications
- 5+ years of cybersecurity experience with 2+ years in SOC/IR roles
- Advanced certifications (CISSP, GIAC, or equivalent)
- Expertise in threat detection, forensics, and incident response methodologies
- Proficiency with security tools (Splunk, Palo Alto Networks, CrowdStrike)
- Deep understanding of cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network protocols
- Strong analytical skills with ability to correlate complex security events
- Experience in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, or tech)
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
