Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues using diagnostic tools
- Implement security protocols to protect network integrity and data
- Document network configurations, changes, and maintenance activities
- Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, and remote access
- Collaborate with team members on network upgrades and expansion projects
- Monitor network performance using monitoring tools and optimize as needed
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT or related field, or equivalent certification (CompTIA Network+, CCNA)
- 2+ years of hands-on network administration experience
- Proficiency with Windows Server and Active Directory
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies
- Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG)
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Valid Alaska driver's license for occasional on-site visits
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
