Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze network traffic, system logs, and security alerts 24/7 to detect potential threats.
- Lead incident response investigations, containment strategies, and post-incident recovery procedures.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our systems.
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust security policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to integrate security best practices into software development and network architecture.
- Stay abreast of emerging cyber threats and industry trends to proactively adapt our defense strategies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related IT field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+ are required.
- Strong hands-on experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) and firewalls.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, encryption standards, and attack vectors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic, 24/7 security operations center environment.
