Responsibilities
- Threat Monitoring & Response: Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify and neutralize cyber threats in real-time.
- Penetration Testing: Conduct regular internal and external penetration tests to identify vulnerabilities before malicious actors can exploit them.
- Incident Management: Lead the investigation and remediation of security incidents, ensuring business continuity and minimal downtime.
- Risk Management: Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001) and regulatory frameworks.
- Security Awareness: Design and deliver security awareness training programs to educate employees on phishing, social engineering, and best practices.
- Network Security: Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS systems to safeguard network perimeters.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related IT role.
- Certifications: Active CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC certification is required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) and experience with security tools (Burp Suite, Metasploit, Wireshark).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Relocation: Must be willing to relocate to the Fort Worth area (Relocation assistance provided).
