Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents across on-premise and cloud environments (Azure/AWS).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses before exploitation.
- Manage and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Develop and maintain incident response plans (IRP) and execute tabletop exercises.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as SOC2, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS through regular audits.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement secure coding practices and secure infrastructure configurations.
- Provide security awareness training and guidance to non-technical staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a similar role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, GSEC, or Security+ are strongly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Proficiency with security tools like Splunk, SIEM, SIEM, or LogRhythm.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and stakeholder management.
