Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events from SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time.
- Conduct detailed forensic investigations into security breaches and execute incident response protocols.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and manage the remediation of identified security gaps.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks such as NIST, SOC 2, and HIPAA.
- Collaborate with software development teams to integrate security best practices into the DevSecOps pipeline.
- Produce and present security reports to executive leadership and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or threat intelligence.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python or Bash) for security automation.
