Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM systems (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to potential cyber threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our network infrastructure and applications.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents, ensuring minimal impact on business operations and maintaining detailed incident reports.
- Manage and maintain firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), and VPN solutions to ensure secure remote access.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001) and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and development teams to implement security controls within software development and deployment pipelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in information security, network security, or system administration.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and common attack vectors.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) for automation and security scripting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure during a security breach.
