Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and investigate potential threats using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Manage and configure firewalls, VPNs, and network security devices to maintain a secure perimeter.
- Lead incident response efforts, coordinating with IT teams to contain and remediate security breaches.
- Develop and enforce security policies and compliance frameworks (NIST, CIS, HIPAA).
- Perform security audits and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security analysis.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and operating systems (Linux/Windows).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python or Bash) for automation and incident response.
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and identity management systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
