- Defensive Operations: Monitor enterprise networks for security breaches and unauthorized access attempts.
- Threat Analysis: Conduct detailed forensic analysis of security events and produce actionable reports.
- Policy Development: Design and implement robust security protocols and governance frameworks.
- Incident Response: Lead the containment and eradication of malware and ransomware attacks.
- Vulnerability Management: Execute regular penetration tests and vulnerability scans to ensure system integrity.
- Compliance Audits: Ensure strict adherence to federal and industry-specific regulations (HIPAA, NIST, SOC2).
Responsibilities
- Manage and configure next-generation firewalls and intrusion prevention systems (IPS).
- Analyze log data from SIEM tools to identify anomalies and potential threats.
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to integrate security into the development pipeline.
- Conduct security awareness training for staff members.
- Oversee the remediation of security weaknesses in third-party applications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network administration, or IT security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and routing protocols.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, or Bash).
- Experience with cloud security architectures (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
