Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect and mitigate advanced threats.
- Conduct thorough incident investigations and manage the full lifecycle of security incidents, from detection to resolution.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to proactively identify weaknesses in network architecture.
- Manage and configure firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and VPNs to ensure secure network perimeter access.
- Develop and maintain robust security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation aligned with ISO 27001 and NIST standards.
- Collaborate with software engineering and DevOps teams to integrate security best practices into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Conduct security awareness training sessions for employees to reduce human error as a vector for attack.
Qualifications
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent advanced certification (Security+, GCIH).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity analysis, network defense, or a related IT security role.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common network protocols.
- Proficiency with security tools such as FireEye, CrowdStrike, or Tenable.
- Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows server environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical risks to executive leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
