Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify potential weaknesses.
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and frameworks to ensure compliance with standards such as SOC 2 and HIPAA.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to secure cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) and on-premise systems.
- Lead incident response investigations, perform root cause analysis, and recommend remediation strategies.
- Provide security training and awareness programs for employees to foster a security-first culture.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or network defense.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CISM are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and cloud security architectures.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation and threat hunting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
