Apex Cyber Defense is currently hiring a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to protect our infrastructure. Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, Sentinel) to identify potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our systems.
- Lead incident response teams during security breaches, coordinating with legal and IT departments to minimize downtime.
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA, GDPR, and internal security protocols across all departments.
- Collaborate with software engineers to implement security best practices into the development lifecycle.
- Produce detailed security reports and threat intelligence briefings for executive leadership.
- Train junior staff on security awareness and incident response procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information security analysis.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, and IDS/IPS technologies.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data logs and patterns.
- Ability to obtain and maintain government clearance (if applicable) and pass background checks.
- Excellent communication skills to translate technical jargon for non-technical stakeholders.
