Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents in real-time using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Develop and implement robust security policies and compliance frameworks aligned with NIST and ISO standards.
- Lead incident response investigations, root cause analysis, and remediation efforts.
- Collaborate with IT teams to design secure network architectures and firewalls.
- Perform threat hunting to proactively identify malicious actors within the environment.
- Provide security training and awareness programs for staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, incident response, or network defense.
- Strong knowledge of Linux, Windows, and network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP).
- Proficiency with security tools including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and antivirus solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
