Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel, QRadar).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing support to identify system weaknesses.
- Investigate security breaches and coordinate incident response and recovery efforts.
- Enforce enterprise security policies and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks (NIST, HIPAA, SOC2).
- Collaborate with IT operations and development teams to patch vulnerabilities and improve system resilience.
- Manage endpoint protection, firewall rules, and access control measures.
- Produce detailed security reports and provide training on security best practices to staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or similar cybersecurity role.
- Professional certification is highly preferred (e.g., CISSP, Security+, CEH, GCIH).
- Strong working knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and threat intelligence.
- Experience with incident response methodologies and forensics.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex security concepts clearly.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-security environment with strict deadlines.
