Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security alerts using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) to identify and mitigate threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to proactively secure systems.
- Manage and configure firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Lead incident response efforts for security breaches and coordinate with legal and compliance teams.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as NIST, GDPR, and HIPAA.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and training materials for employees.
- Collaborate with IT operations to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3-5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a similar role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common network protocols.
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote/hybrid environment.
