Responsibilities
- Threat Monitoring: Monitor security alerts via SIEM (Splunk/SolarWinds) and manage incident response workflows to mitigate active threats.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct quarterly penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to identify system weaknesses and recommend remediation strategies.
- Security Architecture: Oversee the configuration and tuning of firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions (EDR).
- Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to NIST, HIPAA, and GDPR standards through regular audits and policy reviews.
- Collaboration: Partner with IT Operations and Development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Training: Lead security awareness training sessions to foster a culture of security within the organization.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related field.
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GIAC GCIH certification is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, Bash scripting, and familiarity with cloud security platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of TCP/IP, cryptography, and common attack vectors (Phishing, Ransomware, APTs).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills for reporting to executive stakeholders.
