Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to sophisticated cyber threats
- Lead incident response investigations for security breaches, documenting forensic evidence and implementing remediation
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems, applications, and cloud environments
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation aligned with NIST, ISO 27001, and GDPR standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Provide executive-level security briefings and strategic recommendations to leadership teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles with proven incident response expertise
- Industry certifications: CISSP, CEH, or GIAC (e.g., GCIH, GCFA)
- Advanced knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and threat intelligence frameworks
- Proficiency in security tools: Splunk, Palo Alto Networks, CrowdStrike, and vulnerability scanners
- Strong analytical skills with ability to correlate complex security data across multiple sources
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
