Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents and breaches
- Develop and implement threat detection rules and playbooks
- Collaborate with penetration testing teams to validate security controls
- Generate executive-level security incident reports and remediation plans
- Lead vulnerability assessments and compliance audits (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Maintain security documentation and incident response procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on SOC/Security Operations experience
- Industry certifications: CISSP, Security+, or GIAC preferred
- Expertise in network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS)
- Proficiency with SIEM tools and threat intelligence platforms
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and endpoint protection
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure
- Valid US government security clearance (or ability to obtain)
