Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security events within the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platform to detect and respond to threats in real-time.
- Conduct detailed incident investigations, root cause analysis, and coordinate incident response activities.
- Perform regular vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and security assessments to identify system weaknesses.
- Enforce compliance with federal and industry standards, including NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and playbooks to ensure operational readiness.
- Collaborate with IT operations and development teams to patch vulnerabilities and implement secure coding practices.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network security analysis.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, ArcSight, or QRadar) and threat intelligence platforms.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud security architectures.
- Strong scripting skills in Python or Bash for automating security tasks.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH are preferred.
