Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to threats
- Conduct incident investigations and forensic analysis for security breaches
- Develop and implement security controls and vulnerability management strategies
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and CIS frameworks
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
- Lead threat hunting initiatives to proactively identify emerging risks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in security operations center (SOC)
- Certifications: CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or GIAC preferred
- Expertise in network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN)
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure) and containerization
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure incident response scenarios
