Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats
- Conduct incident response investigations including root cause analysis and containment procedures
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across client environments
- Develop and implement security policies ensuring compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and GDPR standards
- Collaborate with IT teams to enhance security architecture and remediate identified risks
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders and regulatory bodies
- Stay current on threat intelligence and emerging attack vectors through continuous research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- Industry certifications (CISSP, CEH, Security+, GIAC) or equivalent practical experience
- Expertise in SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, and network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks
- Strong analytical skills with ability to correlate complex security data
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder presentations
