Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or similar).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Develop and maintain Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) correlation rules and automated playbooks.
- Lead incident response efforts for security breaches, including forensic analysis and system recovery.
- Ensure strict compliance with regulatory frameworks such as SOC 2, HIPAA, and NIST standards.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement security patches and network configurations.
- Provide security awareness training and guidance to staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, incident response, or network security.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for security automation.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritize critical threats.
- Excellent communication skills for reporting technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
