Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to cybersecurity incidents
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Analyze network traffic and logs to identify anomalous activities and potential threats
- Develop and implement security controls to protect against malware, ransomware, and advanced persistent threats
- Prepare detailed incident response reports and security recommendations for stakeholders
- Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats and industry best practices
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and other security frameworks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, threat detection, or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking and common attack vectors
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys) and penetration testing
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to document complex technical information
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to work on-call for incident response
