Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of enterprise systems
- Analyze malware and advanced persistent threats using forensic tools
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks and incident reports
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement security controls in cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
- Lead incident response coordination during security breaches
- Provide threat intelligence briefings to executive stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations with hands-on incident response experience
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, network security protocols, and threat intelligence platforms
- Experience with cloud security architectures (AWS/Azure security services)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to correlate complex security data
- Valid Texas driver's license for occasional client site visits
