Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents and develop comprehensive remediation strategies
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement robust security controls and best practices
- Generate detailed security reports and executive dashboards for stakeholders
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
- Maintain compliance with industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- Industry certifications (CISSP, CEH, Security+, or equivalent)
- Expertise in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar, or ArcSight)
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security, and threat intelligence
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Ability to work under pressure and communicate complex security concepts clearly
