Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity and potential threats
- Conduct forensic analysis of security incidents and develop incident response reports
- Implement and maintain security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and industry-specific regulations
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and document security policies, procedures, and playbooks
- Provide 24/7 on-call incident response support during critical situations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in security operations center (SOC) or incident response
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or ArcSight) and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and threat intelligence
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys) and penetration testing
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to document complex security incidents
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
