Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security events using SIEM tools (Splunk, Sentinel) to detect and respond to threats in real-time.
- Conduct thorough incident investigations and manage the full lifecycle of security breaches.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and recommend remediation strategies for identified weaknesses.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to implement security best practices and patch management.
- Conduct security awareness training for staff and develop incident response playbooks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certification preferred: CISSP, CEH, GSEC, or Security+.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a SOC or cybersecurity analyst role.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, networking, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
